In a short post on 4C&L's old Twitter, it was revealed that the team will play with a slightly different roster and will be renamed to Mamas Boys.?
After Jerry 'EGM' Lundkvist's departure from the 4C&L squad to Alliance two days before the Shanghai Major roster lock, 4C&L did not lock their roster for the Major. With the Shanghai Major approaching, 4C&L has decided to rename into Mamas Boys, drop Niclas 'Niqua' Westergård and pick up ex-Monkey Freedom Fighter player, Yazied 'YapzOr' Majnoon, and ex-BBC player, Mohammad 'Hook' Al-Sheikh. Mamas Boys will debut in the Shanghai Major open qualifiers against W.A.WKI.
Gosugamers contacted the manager of Mamas Boys, Joe 'Joe' Eastham, about the name change. Eastham stated the reason for the name change as having "one player left from the original 4C&L roster" in addition to him asking "for a more professional name"; it seems the new name - decided by the players - achieved only one of the two goals.
4C&L had a good string of performances in the post-Frankfurt Major period, placing highly in DreamLeague #4 and the Global eSports Cup, finishing 3rd and 2nd respectively. As for their future performance, Mamas Boys are one of the favorites to take the EU open qualifiers for the Shanghai Major.
The reactions of the players towards the team's new name is entertaining, with EGM expressing that "I [EGM] thought there was no way to make the name worse.. gj guys" and Per Olsson 'Pajkatt' Lille defending the team name with a twit saying "don't u love ur mom?? I love my mom. I'm a mamas boy".
