Vici Gaming comeback from one game down versus Vega to secure the top seed from Group B.
Vici Gaming has secured the top seed in group C after winning two BO3s in a row. The Chinese squad beat Unknown 2-0 and Vega Squadron 2-1. They've now made it to the upper bracket. Vega on the other hand will be playing the winner of Unknown versus OG for a spot in the upper bracket.
The first game started with a tiny delay due to connection issues but that did not slow down Vega. Vladmir "No[o]ne" Minenko was on his signature Shadow Fiend as he completely dominated the first game in the initial 10 minutes - having 85 last hits compared to Jun Hao "Super" Xie's 60. With Pavel "Pasha" Khvastunov playing an amazing Ember Spirit, continously participating in team fights and helping his team get important pick offs, Vega were unstoppable.
Even though Super had a bad start he managed to finish his Radiance by 12 minutes, in an attempt to lead VG to a win. The game was pretty close, until 13 minutes, in terms of net worth but Vega won a couple of key fights and somehow ended the game by 26 minutes.
Game two draft
The second game was much closer and interesting than the first one. Vega picked Sven for the safe lane, a pretty uncommon pick for this patch. This game also started close but soon Vega got an advantage and they kept on increasing their lead. They took a couple of Roshans as well but did not take towers.
The CIS team had a 10k advantage at 37 minutes but by this point Vici had important items on their cores. Vega failed a base push and VG started cutting down the lead with their impeccable team fight execution. By the 46th minute, VG was able to level the net worth graphs and ultimately end the game by 50 minutes.
The third and final game was as close to the second game as one can get. Vega once again led the game for a long time but did not get enough objectives. VG got their key items and completely dominated the European team in team fights, leading to a gg call by the 58th minute.
