The Visa curse has finally been lifted for Team Empire, the CIS favorites at this year’s International. One week after Yoky got his papers in order, all the suspense is over for the Russians who are certain to attend The International 5 with a full roster.

The last few months have been a roller coaster ride for Empire who either had to play with standins or drop entirely from LAN events due to their Visa problems. They attended MLG Columbus with Gleb 'Funn1k' Lipatnikov filling in for Yoky who didn’t obtain his US Visa and for similar reasons they had to withdraw from MLG Pro League LAN finals held in Austin Texas. The most recent instance of them not getting their papers sorted out in time lead to their absence in Dream League Season 3 at Dreamhack in Sweden.
With the Majors on the horizon, hopefully Valve will figure out a solution to guarantee for the deserving teams their participation in the tournaments they worked so hard to qualify for.
