The winners of the open qualifiers for BTS Americas, EgamersX and Snakes have been eliminated from the competition at the end of the first elimination round.
Featuring a best-of-three single elimination bracket, BTS Americas almost concluded the first round, after which eight teams will end their journey in the tournament.
Unfortunately, eGX and Snakes had to face in the first elimination round the two favorites for this tournament who also happen to be The International 5 qualifier winners and the runners up Complexity and Archon (ex. North American Rejects). The favorites took the series easily with a 2-0 score and advanced further into the competition while the underdogs will have to stop their adventure here.
The other teams expected to do well in the first round Not Today and Summer's Rift have also moved into the second round. There is still one game left to be played in order to have our final eight teams, eHug vs Root Gaming being scheduled for today at 23:00 CET.
