Zai may take a year off Dota 2 after TI5

Dotablast has recently conducted an interview with Ludwig 'Zai' Wåhlberg during ESL One. The interview was about how Secret has been playing recently, his thoughts on ESL One and the future of Team Secret.

This interview begins with Zai voicing his appreciation and thoughts regarding the kinds of tournaments he has been attending, in particular, his appreciation of the sports tournament like atmosphere at ESL One and how much he enjoys the balance between the laid back styled tournaments like The Summit and the intense atmosphere of tournaments like ESL One.

Moving onto the second part of the interview, Zai talks about how Secret's plans for TI5, saying that victory comes because "We play our best, we work as a team, we prepare for the other team, that’s how we win. We don’t win because of some strategy that has never been seen before." In addition, Zai also claimed that despite the risk of being figured out before TI5, Secret will not change their play-style in the tournaments prior to TI5 and might instead "do something entirely new for TI and switch up the game we play."

Following the second part, the future of Secret was discussed, Zai seemed pessimistic that Secret will stay together after TI5, revealing that "even if we play well, we may see some change. I may take a year off after TI." He also adds that he in the event that he does take a break, he will only be gone for 9-10 months to focus on his education before returning to the Dota2 scene.
