Dendi and Na`Vi guaranteed a trip to TI5, NiP eliminated

The day started with the unfinished series from group B between Vega Squadron and London Conspiracy. After a 2:0 victory, Russian team Vega Squadron is the one who came out on top to claim the final spot in the lower bracket.

Na’Vi secures tickets to Seattle

In the upper bracket, Natus Vincere squared off against 4Anchors + Sea Captain in a best-of-three for determine who will be the first European team to secure their tickets to The International 5. First game between these two teams got fans riled up with Dendi playing the Pudge but 4ASC Keeper of the Light, Axe and Shadow Fiend were able to keep him at bay. At the end, 4ASC mounted a strong offense and was able to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

However, game two went in favor of Na’Vi. With a much better approach of the game having Dendi on Leshrac, Na`Vi was superior in the laning phase and the team fights leading to a convincing 37 minutes victory. In the final and deciding game of the winner bracket final, Na`Vi suffered for the majority of the game but Sonneiko, Na`Vi's newest addition and saving grace was there to save the day. Showcasing some insane and clutch plays on the Winter Wyvern, Sonneiko was able to save Xboct's Weaver multiple times and drawing out the battles till Na`Vi bounced back.

Ending the series at 2-1, Na`Vi will be guaranteed a trip to The International 5 while 4ASC will have to face the winner of Ninjas in Pyjamas versus Vega Squadron in the loser bracket final.

NiP dream for TI5 over following DDOS attacks

After having a perfect game one in which NiP dominated Vega from the laning stage onwards, NiP was unable to hold on to their one game lead and lost the two subsequent games to end their TI5 dream.

The highlight of the series would be the final game. NiP was off to a hot start winning all of their lanes until random disconnections happened on the 14th minute. According to Handsken from NiP, the players were suffering from a DDOS attack and the game was paused for an extended amount of time. As the game resumed, it seemed that NiP has lost all their focus and momentum as they were constantly being picked off. Nevertheless, NiP stayed determined and was rewarded with a team wipe following Vega's first crack at Roshan.

With the wind on their side, NiP found themselves disconnected once again and for the second time in the game, NiP lost their momentum. Vega Squadron took full advantage of the momentum loss to eliminate the Swedes.

Vega will be taking on 4ASC in the loser bracket final tomorrow to determine the second team guaranteed to a trip for TI5.
