Team Secret came back from the tiny disadvantage they had in both games to totally overrunning Evil Geniuses for the second winner bracket final spot. They will be facing Vici Gaming in the winner bracket final while Evil Geniuses will face LGD in the dreaded elimination game next.
Day 4 schedule:
18:30-21:00: VG vs LGD
21:00-23:30: Secret vs EG
00:00-02:30: LGD vs EG
02:30-05:00: VG vs Secret
Game 1
EG's laning advantage was short-lived in this game as a few lucky runes (invisible and haste) for the Dragon Knight were able to net him the kill on the Drow Ranger and later on, the Dark Seer. Due to the kills, Secret regained their laning advantage back and the Broodmother was also able to find significant farm after a horrendous start.
The game quickly went south for EG from there on as Secret gathered up to push the towers. Secret was able to pick off the Puck before threatening to push the middle tier two. As Secret was retreating, Puck bought back and jumped into the midst of Secret and was immediately killed off again, causing EG to lose the only fight that could bring them back into the game.
Regardless, EG smoked into the Roshan pit but their plan was easily foiled by Secret. The plan ended in four dead on EG's side while EG's second attempt on Roshan got another four of them killed, alongside the Aegis. EG called "gg" right after.
Game 2
The game started extremely even for both teams and very quiet too as EG's supports were busy farming the jungle while Secret was content with gaining their levels on the lane. The action started happening after Invoker picked up the Orchid of Malevolence and went on a ganking spree, killing off the Nyx Assassin and Keeper of the Light.
Funny enough, even with all these kills going to EG, the Bristleback and Gyrocopter was still firmly on top of the net worth chart as they time and time again avoided unfavourable situation. The flow of the game started shifting towards Secret after they managed to sneak kill the first Roshan. Secret smoked immediately hoping they could pick off the Drow Ranger but the Drow Ranger was able to escape after activating her Black King Bar.
With the Aegis in hand, Secret boldly went for a push on the bottom lane. Although the Gyrocopter lost the Aegis fairly early in the fight and could have just backed off after destroying EG's bottom tier three, Secret marched on and sieged the melee barracks and won the subsequent defense mounted by EG. Secret retreated after.
For the next five minutes, both teams exchanged hands in several battle with no clear winner until Secret sneaked a second Roshan kill courtesy of an early spawn. Secret grouped up to push the middle lane and in this battle, the stark difference in gold and experience between both the teams were clearly visible. Secret mowed down the tier three tower, EG's heroes and forced out the white flag.
