Summit 3: iG destroys NoT's Bristleback, NoT second to go

Evidently coming into the tournament to gain experience, Not Today has learned a lot in terms of knowledge from these games, the Peruvians fought bravely but it was not enough to take down the Chinese juggernatus LGD and Invictus Gaming.

Not Today is the second team to be eliminated from The Summit 3 following Rave's devastating loss to Evil Geniuses earlier today. Invictus Gaming on the other hand, will be taking on LGD later today for the final spot to the playoffs of the tournament.

Day 3 schedule:

18:30-21:00: EG vs Rave
21:00-23:30: iG vs NoT
00:00-02:30: C9 vs EG
02:30-05:00: LGD vs iG

Game 1

People tend to say that Invictus Gaming plays around Ferrari and they indeed showcased that in game one. After an even laning stage in which iG's supports left the Bristleback to go up against NoT's trilane, causing him to be underfarmed, iG rotated Shadow Fiend to the top lane to take down the tier one tower and further shut down NoT's Broodmother.

Shadow Fiend's relatively easy lane against the Sniper led to a fast purchase of the Mekansm and iG wasted no time to assemble as five and push together. iG first went for the middle lane and they faced no challenge taking down the tier one and tier two tower.

iG quickly went for Roshan and while NoT did a fairly good job sniping Shadow Fiend's Aegis as soon as he picked it up, they overcommitted to the fight and lost the Sniper and Broodmother due to bad positioning.

The high ground siege soon came from iG and they took down the bottom barracks without any resistance. iG immediately went to the middle lane and while NoT tried to contest it, the counter-attack was nullified when the Brewmaster died immediately after blinking into the midst of the enemy team. NoT surrendered when iG was about to destroy their top barracks.

Game 2

Both teams went into game two with heavy emphasis on their offlane. iG and NoT were very successful in shutting down the safe lane carry of the opposing teams but it was iG who came out slightly on top in that exchange. While iG's Razor was pressured, he was still able to get some experience while NoT's Bristleback on the other hand, was zoned out so badly he couldn't even leech experience. 10 minutes into the game, Bristleback barely hit level four and was bottom four in gold, just slightly above Keeper of the Light and Vengeful Spirit.

Regardless of that, Not Today was still doing well in terms of battles but their continous heavy pressure on the bottom lane after taking down the tier one was their downfall. After the Brewmaster bought his Blink Dagger, he was able to position himself better in a fight and single-handedly led iG to come out victorious in the next few battles.

Hungry for a victory, Not Today dangerously went into the Roshan pit under broad daylight and they were heavily punished for it. With their 8,000 gold lead in hand, iG smoked to pick off the Vengeful Spirit and switched their focus onto the middle barracks immediately. NoT's attempts to defend their high ground is futile as iG regenerated and returned for the bottom barracks.
