After taking down Malaysian team Titan in two convincing games moments ago, Tongfu will be moving onto the semi-finals of Esports Champion League semi-finals to face Invictus Gaming tomorrow. Tongfu have guaranteed themselves at least 10,000 RMB with the win and will look to turn the 1-1 draw they got against iG in the groupstage into a victory. The winner of the Tongfu-iG series will be facing DK, who have secured their spot in the grand finals by placing first in the group.
Titan played their usual 4-protect-1 strategy with Galvin 'Meracle' Kang split pushing but that failed terribly in game one after Kang's Mirana found himself being constantly picked off. The praises for Kang over the past couple of weeks quickly turned into hatred as Twitch and GosuGamers users started questioning if this is all Kang can do. The second game was much closer and Titan did manage to defend against Tongfu's advances but Kang once again getting picked off at 50 minutes quickly resulted in Titan's barracks going down. Titan couldn't recover from the barracks loss nor could they splitpush due to Tongfu's high mobility heroes.
The loss also means that Titan will be returning back to Malaysia disappointed as they are the only team participating in ECL who did not make it into the cash. Titan also did not win a single game throughout their three days staying in Beijing, China.
