Titan defeats Trust, arranges finals showdown with Mineski

<?

Titan extended their winning streak today after defeating Thailand's MiTH.Trust on the lower bracket finals. They will be facing Philippines's Mineski tomorrow for the grand finals of the Asian Cyber Games Dota 2 tournament.

The Malaysian group played flawlessly on the grand finals, as the team was able to show that they are a league above the Thai team. Once they had it going on the middle of the first game, there was not much the Thai can do to stop them. Titan arguably won all the lanes on both games, barring some early game miscues on the first one.

They will be facing Mineski on the grand finals tomorrow. The Filipino team will have a a one-series advantage, instead of the usual one game advantage. This means that Titan needs to win two best-of-threes against Mineski to take the title. Both of the teams are now guaranteed $9,000.

The Malaysian team earlier defeated Korea's Startale to advance into this stage. Both of the teams were sent into the lower bracket by Mineski.

Game 1

Game 1 saw Titan draft Mirana, against MiTH.Trust's Shadow Demon - Leshrac combo. With a Lone druid on the sidelines for Titan, things were looking bleak for them in the pre-10 minute mark, as countless ganks by the Shadow Demon and Leshrac resulted in kills for MiTH. These ganks created space for Lakelz to farm,which he used for a 13 minute Linken's Sphere. Titan got their act together, and turned the game around behind wonderful team fights lead by YamateH's Doom.

Titan's Doom and Mirana thrived on the squishy lineup of Trust, and the latter's lack of burst damage also proved to be a big problem against the tanky Lone Druid. The early game farm of Morphling was negated, and Trust was forced to tap out before the thirty minute mark.

Game 2

Intense right from the start, MiTH.Trust botched a gank attempt in the early minutes of the game in a bid for control of their safe lane. This resulted in a triple kill for Xtinct's Chen which dictated the pace of the game. With none of the heroes on either teams even thinking of farming, there were non-stop ganks by Titan as they assaulted MiTH.Trust's jungle, even reaching into their base around the 15 minute mark.

Trust was not able to protect their carry, something they normally excel in doing, as Lakelz died a total of 11 times on this game. Titan was unforgiving as they sieged uphill, constantly targeting Dragon Knight and killing him off even before the fight takes place.Without a BKB to aid his survival, DK was a sitting dunk and there weren't much his team can do to help him. Trust ended their misery after Titan easily forced their way into the middle lane, calling the GG and effectively finishing their stint on the ACG.

With the third place finish, Trust will receive a decent $6,000 prize. Their finish is also an upgrade from their fourth place finish last year.

Prize distribution:

1.  $15,000
2.  $9,000
3.  Thailand MiTH.Trust - $6,000
