After a rather bad start on their game against Startale, Mineski pulled off a big win against Titan on the UB semifinals. They played extremely well in the early game, and they kept the pressure all throughout. Despite the big lead, they had difficulties on pushing high ground. The Filipino team split push their way, avoiding team fights and slowly but surely sieging the Malaysian's base.
Titan won against Mineski 3-2 just last week on the finals of SEA Cup. Mineski will be playing MiTH.Trust on the upper bracket finals up next, with the winner securing at least a second place on this tournament.
The match against First Departure and Startale was another epic battle, with no lanes falling all the way past the 40 minute-mark. It was very close to even, but the Korean team eventually imposed their strength and then won the game.
With the second straight heartbreaker, local favorite First Departure bids their goodbye on the tournament. Meanwhile, Startale advances into the next day of the tournament, where they will be against the winner of RRQ and Titan on a best-of-three match.
