Virtus.Pro removes Solo from Dota 2 team

Alexey 'Solo' Berezin has been booted from Virtus.Pro because he is banned from many tournaments all over the world, including Nexon Invitational Super Match.

Virtus.Pro, being one of the most famous CIS organizations, has been having some troubles with roster since the end of The International 3. They tried out many players during the western shuffle but eventually settled for former RoX.KIS player, Alexey 'Solo' Berezin ten days ago. He played in a few matches since and in fact, played quite well in most of them.

Today Virtus.Pro surprised their fans because they have abruptly released Solo from the team.

Virtus.Pro statement:

Unfortunately, Alexey 'Solo' Berezin won't be able to play for Virtus.Pro due to some reasons. We will keep playing in every tournament we joined, and we are testing a new player at the moment. The full explanation of this situation will come later. We want to thank Alexey for the time he spent with us, and we are terribly sorry to say goodbye to him.

The real reason for the removal is because Solo has been banned from several tournaments due to his betting incident in the past, including Nexon Invitational Super Match. They have allegedly lost their invitation from the Korean tournament because Solo is in the team.

Current Virtus.Pro Dota 2 roster:

Russia Dmitriy 'LighTofHeaveN' Kupriyanov
Russia Sergei 'God' Bragin
Russia Sergei 'Smile' Revin
Russia Yaroslav 'NS' Kuznetsov
Russia Ilya 'klif' Gabrilov (stand-in)
