OG; An organization not for the faint of heart

From open qualifiers to double-time TI champions, from lower bracket runs to winning majors being a fan of OG is a wild ride.

If you are an OG fan, then you have most likely already submitted medical or psychological reimbursement requests to the organization or have purchased large amounts of copium to have on hand.

If you are not, then buyer beware, this is not an organization for the faint of heart.

Time and time again OG ends up in situations where everything is on the line, all hope seems to be lost and then they power up to levels beyond recognition. And this is regardless of who is on the roster.

The in-game comebacks are real, but also the abysmal performances until it's almost everything lost.

The DPC 2023 Season Spring Tour has been no different for OG.

Disappointing performances from OG left the team sitting at the bottom rungs of the standings. As usual, things came down to the wire for OG.

The last series of the league would end up being between OG and Entity.  The winner would end up fighting for a ticket to the Berlin Major, while the loser would have to fight for their Division I spot in the tiebreakers.

The two-time TI-winning organization, who picked up momentum towards the end of the league, cruised to a 2-0 win over Entity with a commanding display in both games.

From there, it was on to tie-breakers against Ooredoo Thunders, who had delivered the most upsets through the entire Spring Tour.

The first game victory was secured by OG with a comeback 30 minutes in after the beginning half belonged fully to OT. OT was able to even the series with a Naga Siren carry in game two but once again with their backs against the wall, OG pulled out the clutch performances for a spectacular comeback to clinch the final spot at the Berlin Major.

From potential relegation to Division II to a spot at the Major, OG once again proved that this is no ordinary organization. Even without OG's former psychologist, Mia Stellberg the lessons she instilled regarding reactions to stress and tempering emotions seem to be still going strong.

Dota is a sick mental game. Brings out the best and the worst in you. [...] Who ended up winning the mental warfare always won the series. That's how you win tournaments. If you break the other mind it gets really easy. Some minds are really hard to beat though
~ Johan 'n0tail' Sundstein, True Sight TI8

Is it something in the water? Or is n0tail's house built on a burial ground where they perform ancient rituals during the witching hours?

Regardless, fans are bracing themselves for another rollercoaster ride in Berlin.

Berlin Major

Eighteen of the world's best teams will be competing for the lion's share of the $500,000 prize pool and 2700 DPC points between April 26-May 7th.

The event will begin on April 26, but fans will be able to watch live at Velodrom Arena from May 5-7th.

The Velodrom, one of Berlin's largest concert venues, is an indoor track cycling arena with a capacity for 12,000 people.
