Dota 2 GosuAwards 2012
[hnice]We on GosuGamers close a memorable year 2012 with the GosuAwards election of our biggest department, Dota 2. It's been a year in which the game made enormous progress, be it either in terms of its technical development, or its evolvement into one of the premier disciplines within the circuit of eSports.[/hnice]
In 2012, Dota 2 has seen play on numerous stages all around world, which fulfilled dreams of aspiring teams and introduced us to new personalities in the community. Now it is time to honor the accomplishments of these teams and players spanning an entire year.
Following our tradition, the nominees for each category are determined by section editors and voting is done by GosuGamers readers. Nine GosuAwards will be given out this year for each tactical position, as well as newcomer/break-out star 2012, best team, best commentator and personality 2012. Each category will have five nominees, except best commentator which will have six. Throughout the last week, our Dota 2 editors had to list their top five for each GosuAward and rank them on a scale of 1-5. Depending on their placing each nominee obtained a certain amount of points, which were summed up later. The five nominees that gathered the most points in each category are now being put up for vote.
