The Danish organization has announced the acquisition of up and coming team unu.AiN to compete under its banner in 2015.
In negotiations throughout most of early 2015, CPH Wolves' management and the players of unu.AiN have come to an agreement. The organization had been on the hunt for a new CS:GO squad ever since the departure of the former roster, who earlier today joined Dignitas. Likewise, Nikolai "HUNDEN" Petersen and his teammates had been looking for a new sponsor after things failed to work out with former sponsor myXMG.
Copenhagen Wolves were ultimately impressed with the talent put on display by the new lineup, not to mention their stability, something which many CS:GO teams lack. The newly signed lineup managed to finish runners-up to Virtus.Pro last month at the Acer A-Split Invitational, taking down a stout Penta team in two best-of-threes.
Esport manager, Frederik Byskov, had this to say on the signing:
We wish to give our new team the best conditions to grow so they can show their real potential as a top team not just in Denmark but on an international scale as well; just like they did at Acer A-Split Invitational finals finishing 2nd after Virtus.pro.”
Team Captain Nicolai Petersen also offered his thoughts:
The next six months is going to be very busy for the team. We are going to participate in as much as we can and hopefully qualify for a few of the big events. Our main focus will be to qualify for the 1st major at ESL One Katowice while we are certain to take part in Denmarks biggest event, Copenhagen Games, in April.”
Copenhagen Wolves are currently participating in ESEA Season 18, SLTV Season 12, and ESL Pro League.
