iG vs MUFC - match recap
VODs available here!
Game 1
Top lane
MUFC- Weaver
iG - Lifestealer
Mid lane
MUFC- Leshrac, Shadow Demon
iG- Templar Assassin
Bot lane
MUFC - Lone Druid, Chen
iG- Enigma, Sand King, Lina
The supports of iG started off on top, ensuring a good start for YYF and then they left to harass the Lone Druid bottom lane. Early aggression from iG's supports started off the game with kills for iG and every lane. The dual lane from MUFC didn't manage to shut down Ferrari at all, in fact he got kills and levels quickly like nobody's business. YYF left the top lane and joined the early fighting while Zhou kept pushing side lines. They destroyed the early fights and took down Roshan at minute 16. The team fights of iG were just superior and all the heroes were much more farmed then MUFC, they basicially just steam rolled into the base and the game was over.
iG had a good team composition, they had good stunning and team fight potential with Enigma, SK and Lina while they also had early carry output such as TA and Lifestealer, making it easy to punish MUFC for mistakes. On top of that, their push was decent so they could pressure early on after winning the laning phase while Lone Druid needed more farm to be useful.

Game 2
Top lane
iG - Lone Druid
MUFC - Shadow Fiend, Sand King, Keeper of the Light
Mid lane
iG - Brewmaster
MUFC - Nyx Assassin
Bot lane
iG - Lifestealer, Lion, Disruptor
MUFC - Dark Seer
MUFC started off Dark Seer in the jungle, but rotated to defend the bot tower at 5 minutes, failed to do so and got firstblooded by ChuaN. MUFC pressured down the top tower, but Shadow Fiend got killed not too long after by Lion and Lifestealer, the farm gap between SF and Lone Druid were closing in while Lifestealer was just getting ahead. At this point YYF's Lifestealer was in every fight and had a huge present, ripping apart the poor supports and even ripping through Shadow Fiend who couldn't do anything than to hope for a surge. Fights were won by iG and towers dropped, MUFC managed to catch 3 heroes of iG offguard outside their own tier 2 though and killed both them and the tower quickly. Zhou didn't go for Radiance this game, instead opting for utility items such as Vlad and two pair of early upgraded boots. Again, YYF went for the mobility build (Phase Boots, Drum, S&Y) on the Lifestealer, paired up with an Armlet. iG took down Roshan and got some more kills, followed by the midlane siege of MUFC's rax. And they went bot. MUFC couldn't defend, iG won 2-0. YYF ended on 21-0-13, those who bought him for Fantasy League should be pleased.
The game plan was basically to let Shadow Fiend farm while Nyx and the others created some map control. As seen the previous games, iG don't mind playing the Lifestealer aggressive after he got the laning phase farmed, something they also did this game to leave space for the Lone Druid to catch up instead. Faith did a great job with placing sentries in important areas, ensuring Nyx to just waste time and not finding any kills. MUFC's line-up didn't have the damage necessary to bring heroes down and Shadow Fiend couldn't carry it, his farm was too shut down.
iG goes undefeated in the Group and are seeded straight into the semi finals.
TongFu vs VG - match recap
VODs available here!
Game 1
Top lane
TongFu- Enigma
VG - Lone Druid, Lina, Rubick
Mid lane
TongFu- Luna
VG- Shadow Fiend
Bot lane
TongFu - Brewmaster, Crystal Maiden, Batrider (jungle)
VG- Magnus
First game and already a crucial one: ViCi Gaming was under the pressure of having to win 2-0 otherwise they would be eliminated from the G-League tournament. The early game started with Luna against Shadow Fiend in the mid-lane, Magnus and Enigma on the both offlanes and Batrider in the jungle. The supports of both teams, Crystal Maiden vor TongFu and Lina/Rubick for ViCi were roaming a lot.
A combination of good luck and a smart dewarding allowed TongFu to score first blood against the Shadow Fiend middle with Crystal Maiden using the invisibility rune. Though Veronica died twice to ganks from Rubick and Lina on the top lane, Xtt on the bottom-lane fell behind in experience, making counter-ganks during the first night phase impossible. Reverse Polarity was not available yet.
With Blink Dagger on Batrider, Black King Bar on Luna and Mechanism on the Enigma up, TongFu grabbed kill after kill at the end of the laning phase. Though Lone Druid surprisingly lead the last hit ranking for a long time, only a very smart Telekinesis stun by Rubick in a teamfight TongFu took although Brewmaster split was not up yet allowed ViCi to win a teamfight for the first time after 19 minutes.
The game got opened up massively again when TongFu decided to attempt a Roshan snipe, but missed a ward by ViCi watching the whole team. A 4-hero Reverse Polarity by xtt leads to a whole team wipe in favor of ViCi.
Only a little while later, TongFu again lost a teamfight without getting a kill, because of another great xtt Reverse Polarity and fy on Rubick waiting until the Black Hole to get something big to steal. ViCi claims two sets of barracks instantly after.

Game 2
Top lane
VG - Dark Seer
TongFu- Nature's Prophet
Mid lane
VG- Beastmaster
TongFu- Templar Assassin
Bot lane
VG- Anti-Mage, Leshrac, Shadow Demon
TongFu - Magnus, Undying, Crystal Maiden
After this surprising ending of game 1, the pressure was suddenly turned around: If TongFu lost again, they would go into a 3-way-tie. Although Mu on the Templar Assassin got first blood against Beastmaster in the middle lane, TongFu got confused a bit in the follow-up, losing both Crystal Maiden and Templar Assassin in the consequence to Dark Seer and Beastmaster.
With the action transferred to the middle lane, Anti-Mage on the bottom lane gets the freedom to farm, which he so desperately needs. Key to ViCi Gaming pulling far ahead after the early game are this time xtt Dark Seer with a nearly perfect play including a mega kill streak and fenrir on Leshrac hitting almost every Split Earth stun, even maxing out that skill.
Just as in the first game, TongFu tried to kill Roshan in the mid-game and failed, got caught by ViCi Gaming. After that and with Necronomicon level 3 up, there was no way Templar Assassin and Nature's Prophet would still outcarry the Anti-Mage anymore.
The 2-0 by ViCi Gaming ties TongFu, ViCi and MUFC with a 2-4 mapscore ing group B of G-League. How this 3-way-tie will be solved, is known by now: Deciding best-of-one matches. The last team of the tiebreaker will drop out of the tournament.
