MicroGamerZ superstar player sO.o is doing well so far in the GosuGamers StarLeague. We just saw him take down White-Ra in the first round. Next up - IdrA.
The Young American player sO.o, also known as HungTran from MicroGamerZ has had a great start on the year 2007, taking down top player after top player in various events. He has been an important pillar in the MicroGamerZ team in the FragBet League, scoring multiple points together with his friend Oldy.
For the GosuGamers StarLeague, sO.o was up against the Ukrainian Protoss player White-Ra, a match where many believed in the experienced and the older White-Ra. However, the Excello player lost in the Protoss mirror match with 0-2, and will have to fight his way back in the Loser Bracket Finals instead.
sO.o will now play his compatriot and the Terran player IdrA[Media] in the second round in the Winner Bracket. sO.o's performance so far includes losing to Androide, but then winning the rest of his matches in the group stage.
- I expected 3-0, I shouldn't have went Terran versus Androide, says sO.o to GosuGamers. He explains that he thought Androide's Zerg race was not worth playing Protoss against.
- I thought he was Terran user going off race as Zerg so I went off race as Terran but as you can see my Terran is C- level, he says and laughs.
We asked him why he has improved so much lately, and he says that he has been spending a lot of time at home - because of being in probation for a crime.
- Playing games with friends like iG.Reaver, Oldy, TT1, OnlyRandom, JF and many other, and I think I improved from there, he says. HungTran also says that he saw Mondragon, Pj and Lx as the toughest opponents, but that he didn't really fear any player so he might take it as far as he possibly can.
After having a short break between the first and second game, sO.o jumped in to play in the Galactic Conquest match versus Sweden where he took down TreK in a very convincing way. Watch out IdrA, sO.o is sO.ooooo hot right now.
Update
sO.o just now defeated IdrA[Media] with 2-0 as well and therefore moves to the third round of the Winner Bracket. IdrA will play in the Loser Bracket Round 3.
