An astounding run through the Zotac Cup Masters SEA qualifier grants Fnatic a spot at the LAN event scheduled to take place in Taiwan starting May 30th.
From start to finish, Fnatic were on top of their game and crushed their opponents as they stomped through the brackets undefeated. It was in the Grand Finals that they knocked the wind out Clutch Gaming's sails - ending the all Filipino team's dominating streak abruptly. Clutch Gaming had just punched their tickets to LA for Summit 7 and took the championship title at PDCup SEA 7 in the last week.
It was expected the newly formed Fnatic would need some time to ramp up their efforts and build the synergy they would need - and it seems that time has come with an amplified bang. Heading into the new season for TI7, the team looks like they have finally built a foundation strong enough to give them a solid foothold to begin to climb from.
With $100,000 prize pool on the line, the Malaysian based squad will compete at the Nangang Exhibition Center in Taipei against Cloud 9, Invictus Gaming, Stan and four other teams - two invited and two qualified.
The ZOTAC Cup Masters kicked off earlier in March with the first of their regional qualifiers. There will be a total of six qualifiers; One for NA/SA, two for Europe, two for SEA and one for China. The Chinese, NA and one EU qualifiers have already been completed.

On April 4th, the Malaysian based team finalized their roster after a train wreck of a year for the Malaysian based team had resulted with a near dissolution of their Dota 2 squad. Things were grim and the team was forced to withdraw from tournaments, even failing to register in time for the Kiev Major.
Since then, the team had a slightly rocky start taking 7-8th place in the DOTA Summit 7 - SEA Qualifier and a heartbreaking fourth place in The Manila Masters SEA Qualifier.
