The last invited team to ESL One Manila are the Europeans from Team Liquid.
Team Liquid have rapidly rejoined the Dota 2 elite after signing-up Kuro "KuroKy" Takhasomi’s post TI5 project, 5JuNgz. The return of the old organization into the competitive Dota 2 scene was applauded by all their fans and Kuro’s squad has managed to place Team Liquid on top of the leaderboards.
Although TL have won The Defense Season 5 and Dota 2 Champions League Season 6 and placed third at WCA, they didn’t get a direct invite at Shanghai Major. But that didn’t stop them to achieve their goals and won the European qualifiers for the event.
Now, Team Liquid joins EHOME for ESL One Manila as the second and last team invited to the $250,000 premiere tournament. Six more teams will be decided through regional qualifiers, two from South East Asia, one from the Philippines, one from the United States and one from Europe.
While the European open qualifiers have already reached round of 16, the sign-ups for the North American ones are still open.
