Team ALTERNATE loses KRAEUTERHUMPEN

Team ALTERNATE have announced that professional CS:GO player Patrick "KRAEUTERHUMPEN" Jakobi has left the squad.

The 24 year old only recently joined the team at the end of last year as part of the German eSports organization's attempts to build a stronger lineup. However, it now appears that a misunderstanding with contract documents surrounding the player's salary have forced the ALTERNATE organization to release Jakobi from the roster.

Niklas Timmermann, General Manager of Team ALTERNATE had the following to say about the situation:

We are sorry to say goodbye to Patrick "KRAEUTERHUMPEN" Jakobi today. The player was not successful in submitting the necessary documents to the HR department in order to be in compliance with Germany's new minimum wage laws. We wish him good luck for his future and tonight we will compete with Jens 'jenson' Kappes as a stand-in.

In addition, Patrick "KRAEUTERHUMPEN" Jakobi said the following:

Because of what I would call communication difficulties my contract has been terminated with ALTERNATE. Just to get the story: We should have filled out a few forms and send it to someone via email. After we did that, we would have known what happened by mail. So we did this and sent the forms off by post. Everyone assumed that things were all cleared but about 1 week ago it turned out that we did it wrong. So we sent the forms off again, and apparently ALTERNATE now has no chance to act as my employer. If I were to play in official games, it would basically be illegal work. In any case, I wish the guys good luck for the season and I am waiting to see what comes up for me.

Team ALTERNATE are now left with the following roster:

Germany Niclas "enkay J" Krumhorn
Germany Florian "syrsoN" Rische
Belgium Robin "r0b" Barth
Austria Jürgen "skAi" Rabl

Germany Jens "jenson" Kappes (stand-in)
