Only four teams are going to the championship round and it ends up being Fnatic vs. Loaded Black and SK vs. Complexity Red in the first rounds of this tournament. SK got in through a three way tie breaker with three teams sitting on eight points. Interestingly none of the new teams made it to the championship bracket, as there are all the established professional teams making it to the top in Columbus.
Loaded Black looks the best coming into this final day with an extremely strong RMP that almost no US teams run anymore (they’re the only RMP at Columbus). Final bracket play results below:

Winner Bracket Round 1
Fnatic (Rogue/Shaman/Warlock) vs. Loaded Black (Rogue/Mage/Priest)
Game 1 - Dalaran Arena, Good focus by Loaded Black on Fnatic’s shaman, lots of great offensive pressure from Numberone (priest), Fnatic opens on Numberone and that didn’t work out for them as their Shaman was dropped so quickly. Solid CC from Orangemarmalade as well this round; 1-0 Loaded Black.
Game 2 - Nagrand Arena, Loaded Black started opening on Woundman (Rogue). Woundman got resetealthed and tried to sap the rogue but great holy fire from Numberone brought him out of stealth. Woundman gets focused down as Fnatic’s Shaman got feared and sheeped allowing Woundman to get killed. 2-0 Loaded Black.
Game 3 - Nagrand Arena, Loaded Black opens on Shammy, drops him to near half, he picks himself back up though. Really solid focus on their Shaman and made him blow every cool down in the book. Numberone had over 23k damage alone and Fnatic only had about 10k between their rogue and warlock, so you can see the difference there. Great commanding performance by Loaded Black, they’re looking great right now and move on, 3-0 over Fnatic.
SK (Rogue/Warlock/Shaman) vs. Complexity Red (Rogue/Warlock/Druid)
Game 1 - Blade’s Edge Mountain, coL Red opened on SK’s warlock, while SK opened on coL Red’s warlock as well, battle transitioned from the bridge to below is as CoL Red’s druid was focused during a heroism and wasn’t able to keep himself up. First match to SK, 1-0.
Game 2 - Dalaran Arena, SK switched focus between the druid and then the rogue, but were able to banish the Warlock’s pet and were able to focus down their shaman there taking the second match and going up 2-0.
Game 3 - Blade’s Edge Mountain, Complexity swapper their rogue for a mage, bringing in some solid crowd control. Sheep on SK’s shaman, and a fear on their warlock and blew up SK’s rogue, so the roster swap was effective for a round at least and the match is 2-1 SK leading.
Game 4 - Ring of Valor, Sheep onto SK’s shaman early, strong pressure onto their rogue as well, forced an NS to pick him up. Focus still on their rogue and gets dropped still. CoL Red evens up the match at 2-2, wizard cleave really showing a great level of adaptation and getting the series back to a final game.
Game 5 - Nagrand Arena, SK focusing on their mage, was picked back up, moved to their warlock. Splitting between mage and warlock, CoL, focusing on SK’s rogue. The pressure was kept on SK’s rogue an even with the switch to cheat death / shadow dance wasn’t able to keep up with the pressure from Complexity Red. And they do the improbable and come back winning the match 3-2 after being down 2-0.
Loser’s Bracket Round 1
Fnatic (Rogue/Warlock/Shaman) vs. SK (Rogue/Warlock/Shaman)
Game 1 - Blade’s Edge, Fnatic starting strong and focusing down SK’s rogue, excellent focus and crowd control from Fnatic and they go up, 1-0.
Game 2 - Dalaran Arena, Heroism goes out for SK early, and Fnatic focusing on Fnatic’s rogue, gets him really low but gets picked up; now SK focusing on Fnatic’s Shaman, really strong pressure and drops him, but SK’s rogue was really low and there was almost a double kill but he was picked up and SK picks up the win tying it up, 1-1.
Game 3 - Dalaran Arena, Fnatic with a sap on the warlock, opening on the Fnatic warlock, then a swap to their rogue. Fnatic’s rogue being focused, brought back up again, both Fnatic’s Shmana and Rogue low of life though, both shaman’s sitting at about half. Fnatic’s team sitting all at half, SK utting strong pressure on Fnatic’s rogue, but brought back up again. Swap to Fnatic’s shaman, both rogue’s die though so we go onto a 2 on 2 situation. Fnatic’s Shaman was really low on health and both Shaman are out of mana. SK’s shaman was able to get a few ticks of drink off and is at about 4k mana, Fnatic’s Shaman is trying to get a drink, is getting harassed by the pet and is still low on health and mana. SK’s shaman still getting in some drink’s. SK’s shaman gets back up to around 10k mana while Fnatic’s is still bouncing between 500-2000 mana. Fnatic able to get their mana up to 5.5k mana so they’re still in this. And...this is why 2v2 isn’t played as an eSports, match called a draw after 20 minutes per MLG rules.
Game 3 (rematch) - Nagrand Arena, open with heroism on both sides, SK’s rogue got completely focused down and miss used his trinket and used it to early right before a kidney shot, so a very short round and Fnatic goes up 2-1.
Game 4 - Dalaran Arena, Opening on Fnatic’s Warlock, heroism on both sides, swapping to Fnatic’s rogue now, brought back up to full. Sk’s rogue dropping dangerously low and feared into the middle. And SK’s rogue drops and SK is taken out of the tournament and Fnatic secures at least a 3rd place finish.
Winner’s Bracket Round 2
Loaded Black (Rogue/Mage/Priest) Vs. Complexity Red (Mage/Warlock/Druid)
Game 1 - Blade’s Edge, LB’s Mage was really low for a while, brought back up. Put loads of pressure on LB’s rogue, and downs the rogue. Really strong pressure from coL Red’s team putting LB’s team on the defensive the whole match and go’s up 1-0.
Game 2 - Ruins of Lorderon, huge pressure from LB on the druid to open the match, continuing the pressure on him forcing cooldowns and complete dominance by LB and down’s their druid. Great control keeping away coL Red’s teammates from LB’s mage. Quick match and excellent bounce back by LB, set tied 1-1.
Game 3 - Ring of Valor, Pressure again on the druid again, and unlucky going behind the pillar to LoS out the mage, as the pillar dropped down and spells were able to get through and taken down. Another quick match from LB and another victory for the Koreans, 2-1 in favor of Loaded Black.
Game 4 - Nagrand Arena, LB focusing the druid again, and downs him again, so quickly. coL Red tried as hard as they could to CC LB’s priest but it didn’t work. Great work by LB taking the match 3-1 and moving into the finals.
Loser’s Bracket Round 2
Fnatic (Rogue/Shaman/Warlock) Vs. Complexity Red (Mage/Warlock/Druid)
Game 1 - Ring of Valor, Fnatic hops onto the druid putting the pressure on, swapped to mage and Fnatic’s rogue gets focused down and kited early. coL Red up 1-0.
Game 2 - Nagrand Arena, Fnatic’s rogue getting focused again. Great kiting once again of Fnatic’s rogue killed again, coL Red goes up 2-0.
Game 3 - Dalaran Arena, Fnatic opens on druid, swaps to Mage, lots of pressure on Fnatic’s Rogue which is no surprise. switch to druid again from Fnatic’s rogue; switch to cheat death for Fnatic’s rogue really effective as he lived on only 500 HP. Fnatic’s rogue in trouble again though, they drop him though and coL Red will move onto the championship. Fnatic secures third place as they are beaten 3-0 by coL Red.
Grand Finals
Loaded Black (Rogue/Mage/Priest) Vs. Complexity Red (Rogue/Mage/Priest)
Game 1 - Nagrand Arena, coL Red decided to go with RMP so we’re starting with a mirror match. Really solid pressure on LB’s rogue, coL Red kills LB’s Rogue and pulls out a victory and gets the series 3-2 (as the set carries over from Winner’s R2).
Game 2 - Nagrand Arena, Focused down coL Red’s rogue with a nice open from LB’s rogue sapping the priest. LB is up 4-2

Game 4 - Nagrand Arena, really strong play this time from coL Red; able to pressure BR’s rogue and kill him, coL Red’s Rogue was almost killed but was saved by cheat death. LB is up still 5-3.
Game 5 - Blade’s Edge, full focus on the priest, less than 1k HP but picked himself back up. Focus on LB’s rogue, he gets away with 2.5k HP, and drops though. Amazing comeback and wins the match forcing ANOTHER match, Loaded Black still up 5-4.
Game 6 - Dalaran Arena, coL Red’s priest sheeped right in the beginning, focusing on the priest most of the game. Solid pressure on him, dipping to about 60% HP most of the time, and get him and that is it. LB wins the match, 6-4.
