Congratulations. You won very clear and also in your previous matches your win was never in danger. Have you two gathered for this GosuCup only, or have you been playing together for some time?
whenDionysosstr:
Well, we have been playing since May or June of last year when we first met during our stay in clan Skynet.
Your communication ingame is awesome. Your Hero-focussing worked well all the time, and your harassment on both enemies as well. Is that because of hard train, or just because of synergies between you?
Duts:
I think it's synergies between us, we don't use teamspeak and we barely chat in games. We just always focus the same units.
Normally we don't focus heroes that much, but they challenged us by doing it first.
whenDionysosstr:
Like Duts has already mentioned, we don't talk that much in-game. This is pretty much due to train I think.
Back in times when I had another ally we were writing a lot in-game, but this part is totally left out since we pretty much know what the other is supposed to do next.
Do you think 2on2 is worth training? In the big tournaments 2on2 is not present or not important at all. Most people watch/play 1on1s and every famous player got his fame based on 1on1s.
whenDionysosstr:
In my opinion 2on2 has highly been cut in terms of priorities. Nowadays, teams usually search for solo players who either already built up a 2on2 team with somebody else or they simply mix up players in order to fill the role. This might be the more "economic" decision, you can see that on the new wc3l system which led to minimizing of players (similar to lean production in terms of economic).
So you like to see a GosuCup 2on2 #2?
whenDionysosstr:
I surely like to see a second tournament of this, in my opinion 2on2 - even if it might just be for terms of fun - is entertaining on the one hand and fun to a lot of players who actually don't focus on 2on2 too much on the other hand.
Thanks for this little interview, any shoutouts, greetings?
whenDionysosstr:

Game One @ Twisted Meadows Based on good harrassment and splitting armies, WnS got level advantages, since the orc couldn't level up his BM very well. He also died on level 1 to the NE's Demon Hunter. With this advantage they joined the final clash. With good communication and epic hero focussing they managed to clearly win this battle and also the game. Game Two @ Avalanche Again with great communication they had the advantage in this very short game. In the first real clash EC's Death Knight was still level one, and WnS managed to decrease the opponent's army significant. But WnS wasted some time and EC could stack up army again. But with, again, great hero focussing they won the final battle and destroyed the Orcs base. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
