June "Lyn" Park wins the 74th edition of ZOTAC Cup after a 3-0 win over recent MeetYourMakers addition Dmitriy "Happy" Kostin.

The 74th edition of the ZOTAC Cup brought us some well known names like Lyn, Soccer, Resolver, ReMinD and Happy. Among the participants we also saw the runner-up of the previous ZOTAC - XPlay. FoV, winner of number 71 and 72 however, was nowhere to be found.

A little flashback in the grid showed that WinNers, Space, FoCuS, ReprisaL and WhO did not make it to the top 8, with first two being trashed down by SK-Gaming's top star Lyn.

As for this phase of the event, where the format changes from best of one to best of three, Happy rolled over the Serbian player Padash, and then successfully made his way through the finals, after another straight 2-0 against ReMinD. ReMinD eliminated XPlay, but seems to still struggle a lot against the Undead forces.

Surprisingly, with a 1-0 lead in the score Resolver suffered a loss against Reignofdark. Rather than dropping a map against Soccer, Lyn did that when facing the German Night Elf, but still managed to clear his way to the deciding match.

In the final games, Happy's higher APM could not lead him to victory as the fresh MYM addition and bronze medalist from WCG 2008 got stomped down by the most successful player of the last year. Played out on Twisted Meadows, Echo Isles and Death Trap, Lyn took the victory. Staying until the morning hours pays back for Lyn, as his wallet is now more massive with 100 more Euros in it.
