This week's ZOTAC again remains as a sleepless night for the Korean participants.
Korean quad Check, FoV, MichaeL and ReMinD had a go for the 100 euro prize. They are also the ones who dominated all the non-Korean top players, for example Check who beat up Lucifron or FoV defeating Thorzain in the semis.
As for the gameplay itself, irony seems to prevail. If you don't know, ZOTAC #69 final remains as a berserkered-headhunters-supported-by-kodo instant death for the Undead, provided by the winner FoCuS. This week's edition matches that one as it comes for the match up in 66,6%.
Why? ReMinD seemed to be scared of by the Undead domination in Night Elf vs Undead matches. Presumably, that's why he went for the Orc in the first two games and tried to reconstruct FocuS's victorious tactic. Unfortunately for him, FoV literally humiliated ReMinD's Orc skills, despite some good attempts by the Night Elf player.
FoV then sealed the deal in the third game, where ReMinD actually picked Night Elf, but couldn't do nothing against on-the-run Undead player. Three clear wins for the Dae Hui "FoV" Cho earned him 100 Euro prize and the status of the ZOTAC #71 winner.
Game 1 @ Twisted MeadowsReMinD goes for the Orc and by thinking he's got the upper hand he simply tries to 'outorc' the undead player. In the beginning, FoV fails to track down any of ReMinD's creep, and the 'orc' player gets on him which ends in dead DK and ReMinD earns some points on his account. Taking the game further, ReMinD's lack of orc skill is shown by late hhs. Too many raiders, which are an easy catch for the DK + orbed Lich combo, slow down a little bit ReMinD's eco. Losing 2 heros in the midgame battle gives a sign for viewer that now it's definetely FoV's turn to have the actual upper hand in the game. As the final battle happens, ReMinD's goes all for DK-focus, and despite losing his only kodo, BM and other units, still tries to take DK down with low-hped units and tauren chieftain. As barely alive DK launches his pot of invulnerability, red-hped ReMinD is forced to back out from the battle. Unfortunetely for him, Lich takes down Tauren Chieftain. ReMinD, seeing that he's got by now only 2 berserked hhs (!) and no hero - leaves the game. Game 2 @ Echo IslesThe Korean night elf player, ReMinD, still give himself a go for the Orc race. Lack of map control and sense is visible from the first minutes. ReMinD fails to harrass at FoV's base as well he doesn't manage to take down any of the Undead player's creeps. What's more dramatic for ReMinD, until almost 8th minute he doesn't reach lvl2 with his BM. While he fixes his lack in eco, and manages to get his hhs a lot faster than in previous game, lost BM in harras of FoV's creeps and 3 burrows in harras from the undead player seems to seal the deal. Final approach takes place in ReMinD's base where FoV by picking up Pitlord as a help for the DK/Lich duo + fiends, takes down ReMinD's heroes and as he leaves orc with only few barely alive hhs, in the same time scores his second point. Game 3 @ Turtle RockReMinD finally chooses Night Elf as his race, which should end up in more 50/50 match. But it's seems that it's FoV's day after all. Picking the perfect timing by an Undead player, he shoots into night elf's base with DK and mass ghouls. Takes down all of the archers and DH, the only thing what prevents FoV from a fast win, is finished Trees of Ages and Panda raging into ghouls and DK. FoV needs to back out, but with this advantage he constantly bothers ReMinD with DK taking down some constructing Ancient of Lores. ReMinD, who sees how tragic his situation is, leaves the game despite FoV being backed out from his base. And FoV's bank account is now bigger by 100 Euros for winning the #71 ZOTAC. |
