The Swedish player LiilD.C will make his first Asian appearance
This years event will take place in Wuhan, China. The Asian players have qualified for the event in different tournaments while the Europeans are directly invited. Noticeable is that 2008's WCG winner Grubby won't take place in the event. Instead the silver medallist from Dreamhack, LiilD.C will take his first trip to Asia to compete in a major event.
The players are divided in national teams with Korea as favourite in both Warcraft and StarCraft.
