SaSe, one of the few remaining European superstars is the horn in the side who is predicted to rattle Infi and Grubby's cages in Group A.
Kim "SaSe" Hammar, a player according to an eSport expert was not even among the list of top European Night Elves before BlizzCon. After BlizzCon, and prior to World Cyber Games, the expert's opinion on the Swedish Night Elf changed to among the best foreign Night Elves.
SaSe has been very successful in European championships during 2008. He started the year with a second place at the Samsung Euro Championship, went undefeated at DreamHack Summer and was the runner-up at the European BlizzCon qualifier.
The Night Elf veteran from Lerum, Sweden is in a tough group, with World E-Sports Games Masters champion Xuwen "Infi" Wang and former World Cyber Games champion Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen. A tough group, but SaSe thinks he has good chances of advancing. He says he would rather be in Group A than in Group B.
Hammar's first game is against Ronald "DemonBladext" Valencia, a player from Equador. A game that shouldn't be too hard for the aTTaX player. SaSe's key games are played in the last two rounds: the ones against Grubby and Infi. But SaSe might be troubled earlier on, as he go up against his team mate Marc "yAwS" Förster at 14:00 on the main stage. Although having a solid playstyle against Human, yAwS has the home field and an immense support from the German fans.
