ToD beats Moon, claims top spot in Group B

Yoan "ToD" Merlo and Jang "Moon" Jae Ho continues their even win-loss history. The French Human defeated 'the fifth race' in yesterday's Group B first place decider in ESWC Masters of Athens.

Looking back over a year, neither player has been able to win more than once in row over the other. Last encounter between the two were in the ESWC Grand Final a month ago, where Moon disposed the French superstar. Before that, ToD came out with a win - in WC3L.

First game, played onSecret Valley, was a quick game where ToD could destroy Moon's expansion early on. Moon had prepared for huntresses, but ToD could rush in early take out Moon's expansion and claim the first game his.

Turtle Rock was the second map, where ToD militia rushed Moon, forcing the Night Elf to cancel a pair of moon wells. But Moon was able to get his gear together, and went for dual huntresses which made it too tough for ToD to fulfill his tower push.

While in the third game, Moon might have shown us his "new strategy" he talked about in the recent video interivew. Going for Dark Ranger with skeletons to put pressure on ToD's expansion, he expanded himself. But with little luck, the Dark Ranger and her skellies had to step back. With a bit of time to breathe, Moon teched to chimaeras, but was scouted by ToD before he could take up a reasonable force. The Human flying machines did the trick, and ToD was able to win the match.
