While Sky, xiaOt and Moon were invited thanks to their previous efforts in the event, the "world" players Sase, ToD and HoT were invited in one of the seven spots on the invite list.
Six players went through the gruesome qualifier to finally be in the tournament. Only player not from China to qualify for the tournament was fnatic.FoCuS, who is residing in China since a couple of months back. Other players who does not need to travel too far are SaSe and ToD who both live in China.
Missing player names as Infi and TeD were knocked out in the first qualifier, and did not play in the second one. According to SK-Gaming the PGL committee considered inviting them but in the end the committee decided to invite only foreign players.
Another player missing is Sweet who originally had a top seed spot, but due to this they decided to add another spot for the foreign invite players.
PGL will begin on June 4th in Beijing, China. The quarter-finals and overall finals will take place between June 12th and 14th in Changsha, China - same as the WC3L finals.
Worth noting is that FoV is the only clanless player in the list. Will he find himself a home before the PGL starts?
