Featured Replay: Sky vs. Infi on Echo Isles

The fourth game of the NSL2 Grand Final turned out to be something extraordinary. While Sky opted for Mountain King as his first hero, Infi went on to expand under heavy Storm Bolt harrassment.

An intense Human mirror took place in the fourth match between the World Elite's two Human stars Xiaofeng "Sky" Li and Wang "Infi" Xuwen. With the Mountain King as his starting hero, opposed to the more standard Archmage, Sky started to creep his side of the map rapidly to gain a level 2 Storm Bolt. In the meantime, Infi more or less did the same with his Archmage and attempted to expand. Sky was, of course, on to these plans and managed to force his opponent to use his Scroll of Teleportation before continuing to Infi's natural expansion site to slaughter a whole lot of Peasants.

With a giant tech-advantage for Sky, the Emperor was definetly in control of the map. Though Infi had an economic advantage at this stage, this was not of much help for him when Sky started to pressure that expansion once more. With Sky's secondary hero being the Archmage with Blizzard and a spellcaster army he wreaked havoc upon Wang's expansion. But, when it looked like the expansion was indeed on it's way down, the game suddenly turned as Infi caught up and passed his adversary tech-wise and drove Sky's army back with his newly trained Gryphons.

Although the double WCG champ tried to counter this by adding Dragonhawks, it was too little to match Infi's aerial army when the latter decided to add hawks of his own. Nothing could stop Infi at this point and Sky soon had to type "gg" and go on to the next game, which would be desisive for the final's outcome. After this exciting and eventful game, the total score was tied at 2-2.
