Today, the Electronic Sports League announced their new Partner ready to join the ranks of Intel and NGZ for the ENC 2008.
In what could be seen as a very nifty move, ESL has paired up with no other than the Sport wear industry giants, Adidas. But to be quite more exact, Adidas joined up forces with the ENC 2008. So now, It'll be the ESL Pro series and the schulmeisterschaft for CS who will have Adidas as a Sponsor.
It is no mystery that Adidas is worldwide known for the mass production of top quality wear for sports fans and athletes all over the globe. With this new move, they seem to be moving forward another sport: E-sports. Seeing this, it is positive to say that esports is slowly but steadily establishing itself as a respected sport like any other. But lets not forget that both SK-gaming and Mousesports already have the German Giant as their sponsor, so even if this might now be the newest thing for either esports or Adidas, it still remarks the ever growing importance of esports in the world.
How this partnership between Adidas and esports in general will evolve and attract other big industries is only a matter of speculation, but hopefully, it will help esports to make a name for itself in the world.
