After the humongous success that PPL Live Race Wars 2007 was, It is now time to continue the show with 16 of the top players in the world, 4 of each race.
Following the theme of last year's tournament, we are brought again a series of stages with race teams battling it out, a long and a bit complicated system, a nice prize money rewarding not only team but also the individual effort, all very faithful to both of its predecesors. Talking about them, will it be the Night Elf team to make it two in a row, will the Orc team regain their crown, or will Human or Undead prove they can also do it? It sure as hell promises to be one of the most enjoyable events coming up this month.
The event will last 8 full days from March 22nd until March 29th. It will be sponsored as usual by PPL Live and hosted by Garena (formerly known as GGC), while being co-organized by both PPL Live and Gamebank. For the joy of many people whose PPL Live does not function as it should, or just don't have it, games will be streamed as well by GGTV.
The prize money comes to a whooping total of $4560, where the winning team will take $1600, the runner ups $800 and the winner of each game gets a $30 bonus. Yes, that means there will be a total of 72 games in this tournament.
