German Pro Series Season 12

The first 3 playdays have been finished in the Germen ESL Pro Series Season 12. Let's have a closer look on the events during this time.

XlorD
XlorD - he wants to win his first EPS, but can he?

The currently 1st ranked player is dArk, with a 3-0 match score and not a single lost map. Closely followed by the better known HasuObs, who won all his matches as well but threw away a map to hanf. Had the season ended with this playday, those two would have been qualified to the finals, along with the 3rd and 4th ranked players: Protois and S.o.K.o.L.

The season is not over yet, it's in the very beginning, so it is worth mentioning that the players from rank 3 to 9 all got the same amount of points due to winning 2 out of their 3 matches.

It's hard to say who might be the one to make it to the finals or even win them, but usual favourites like HasuObs, Protois, miou and hanf for sure got competition in the likes of strong "newcomers" yAwS, XlorD or TryDying.

Although it is most likely too early to predict who will have to play relegations, there is something that Thurisaz, corugnoll and AkkiS might want to keep in mind: It's almost impossible to qualify for the finals with more than 4 losses in one season. Those three players might not be the ones who aim for the finals though, and this could be better as they already lost 3 out of 3 matches this season.

It will be quite interesting to see how young XlorD will do in his first EPS season ever. The well known and established Undead player had several great results internationally during the last year, but he was not allowed to play EPS until he was 16 year old. Now that he is allowed to and has big goals; he wants to win the EPS. But will he be able to do so?
