Before yesterday's match with Clan Go, the squad of Schroet Kommando had yet to lose a submatch in the WC3L. Even when Miou "replaced" one of the Korean stars in their last game, the German Human player showed us that he still cuts it by taking down SeiN.
The Korean friends team Clan Go has got off to quite an average start, winning clearly against PGS while facing defeats to Wicked and mTw. Yesterday, Undead star player Space and his teammates faced an impossible-looking opponent - SK Gaming. The reigning champions from last season has been looking almost intimidating in the first three playdays of this season, not losing a single point.
Miou - back on the SK bench
After being selected to play against hoorai.XQ, Daniel "miou" Holthuis thanked his managers for the oppurtunity by taking down his opponent, the skillfull Orc player SeiN, in two straight games. The games were decided on Lost Temple and Turtle Rock, where miou made some good use of spellcasters while expanding to achieve victory. It remains to be seen if Miou will continue to be matched in some games at least, but in SK's match yesterday, Holthuis was not to be found in the lineup when his SK defeated Go, 4 points to 1.
Clan Go relying heavily on Space
Although Clan Go's start of the season has been so-so, there is one thing all of their games so far have in common - Park Sueng "Space" Hyun has won his submatch. In his previous WC3L match against Rainbow it was tied at 1-1 between the two after both players taking a map each. On the deciding map, however, Space absolutely crushed his countryman with his Death Knight, Lich and Firelord hero combination. Being heavily disabled does, obviously, not stop this Undead monster from bringing the top players of the world to their knees. In yesterday's game versus SK Gaming, Park Sueng showed his great skill once more by taking down yet another countryman, this time the solid Night Elf ReMinD, who for some reason chose to play as Orc in this game. None the less, Space impressively came out victorious after two straight games on Gnoll Wood and Lost Temple. The game on Gnoll Wood turned out to be a formidable one as both players went for a quick tier 3 tech while adding three heroes each. In the second game, both players decided to play Orc and it seems that Space's incredible Ghoul micro was easily transfered to the forces of the Horde.
