WC3L: Serious Saturday

[s]event_68[/s]

Serious Gaming's got off to a rough start in the WarCraft III Champions League, suffering losses to BeT and mouz. Tomorrow they'll go up against Wicked, a team which they should have a better shot at defeating.

After a difficult start to the season, facing the powerful teams Beijing E-sports Team and MouseSports, Serious Gaming only secured three points in the first two playdays. Now, however, they'll be facing Wicked eSports, a team that, at least on paper, looks to be more evenly matched with them. Wicked's got a flying start, though, and has secured eight points after demolishing hoorai.XQ in the first playday and then the highly rated team Clan Go in the second.

Serious Gaming team manager Jos "Zerter" Byovets is aware of his team's somewhat weak start to the season as well as his adversaries strong one. In his pre-match statement at the WC3L website he says that they have won their previous two matches and we have lost ours, so we are the underdog in this match. If his team can pull off a top notch performance, we might see Serious Gaming climbing the table after tomorrow's encounter.

Besides Serious' game against Wicked, Clan Go will be facing mTw in a very interesting encounter. Both squads contain some very skilled and interesting players such as the Koreans Space from Go and Rainbow from mTw. After mTw's loss against Alternate aTTax, the team really has much to prove in this clanwar.
