Extreme Masters II Main round ends tonight

The second season of the Extreme Masters is coming to it’s finals after the last match of the main round will be played tonight.

The European top players faced each other during several weeks to qualify for the Extreme Masters II finals. Tonight, at the Masters Friday Night Game in Cologne, Germany, the main round’s last match will be played. The newest addition of MeetYourMakers – Manuel 'Grubby' Schenkhuizen – will face Andrew 'fire_de' Regendantz from Germany.
Although almost every finalist and relegation participant is determined already, this match is quite important, especially for fire_de. With a victory the current 3rd ranked player would climp up to the second rank and therefore qualify for the upper seed pool of the relegation.

The relegation will determine another four out of the eight second and third ranked players that qualify for the finals. The players of pool one (second ranked players) will face the ones of pool two (third ranked players). Theoretically the players of pool one are the stronger ones, but to be honest it doesn’t look like one of them is really ahead the other. While pool one consists of HoT, HasuObs and Ciara, the second one includes NightWOlf, Protois and Paladyn. If fire_de beats Grubby he will be seeded in pool one and Joan ‘ToD’ Merlo will find himself in the second, is he loses it will be the other way around.

The list of the qualified players already reads very impressive – Lyn, Lucifer, Grubby, Happy, Satiini and elfittaja are the names – but it will become even more interesting after the relegation. The relegation’s matches will be drawed after the Masters Friday Night match today.
