The DotA scene received the injection it needed to become more "pro" - it's in the ESWC 2007 game pool.
ESWC. After having slowly but surely cementing its way to the competitive gaming scene, DotA has finally gained ground in the top notch events. Today the Electronic Sports World Cup announced two more games for the event in 2008 and surprisingly the custom map Defense of the Ancients is included.
"DotA competitions will be played 5 versus 5 on last stable map," can be read at the ESWC site. At the same time, ESWC also announced Quake 3 as one of the additional games.
