WC3L Finals: Statistics

The WC3L Season XII Finals are over, SK Gaming is the winner. Another great WarCraft 3 weekend has passed and most of the world's best players were participating.

We will now have a closer look at the statistics of the finals itself. A total of 20 players has been used, 22 players have been in Cologne. The players that were not used were Miou from SK Gaming and Jini from Beijing E-sports Team. A total of 158 maps and 62 Best-of-3 matches have been played. The player with the most played BO3's and maps is Lucifer with a total of six matches and 16 maps played. He is followed by his teammate Susiria with the same amout of matches but 15 maps played.

As you can see, Sky showed once again what he is made of, being undefeated in BO3's. Next to him, only Who, XlorD and HoT managed to achieve this, but those players only played one BO3 each. HoT is the only player who did not lose a single map, but this can't be seen too serious since he only had to play a single BO3.

Especially FoV showed a disappointing performance, losing three out of three matches, two in solo and one in 2on2. On the other hand, SoJu showed impressive results, for example beating Moon 2-0 once, and has got a 2-0 (4-0) 2on2 score together with ReMinD. Both formed the most succesful 2on2 team at these finals.
The most successful soloists have been Sky - with 3-0 in BO3's and 6-1 in maps, followed by Moon (3-1 / 6-3) and FoCuS (3-1 / 7-5) from MeetYourMakers.

Although MYM has it's players ranked pretty high, SK Gaming won the finals. The reason for the ranking of MYM's players most likely is that they had only four players on spot, so everyone had to play in every match. Next to this, MYM had to play the most matches due to making it into the Overall Final coming from the Loserbracket. SK Gaming on the other hand had a big roster, using a total of six players, so their players did not have to play as much games as the MYM players had to.

Another interesting fact is that Orc players have got the best Best-Of-3 statistics. Orcs won seven out of ten BO3's, followed by Human players with 5-2. The worst statistics got Undead players with 4-9, Nightelves got a statistic of 7-11 in BO3's.
