The latest ladder season have been going on for quite some time. For the upcoming season, Blizzard announced a map contest where the best maps will be included into the ladder map pool.
Win an iPod! Create the best map and send it to Blizzard before 16th of November, and one of those beauties will be yours. The contest includes both 1v1 and 2v2 maps, and each and every person is allowed to send a maximum of two maps. Here is some basic rules:Basic Rules
- Must be a Melee map
- Must be no larger than 1MB
- Must not contain any trigger information other than the default "Map Initialization" triggers
Judging
- Balance
-- Proper Start distance to trees, mines, and creeps
-- Creep Placement and drop tables
-- Neutral Buildings
- Polish and Creativity
-- Use of doodads
-- Texture use
-- Terrain layout
-- Non-symmetry appearance
