WCG sensation DowaQ about his performance

Hjalmar Högberg. 16 years old and the next Undead Swedish superstar. His goal with WarCraft 3 is a solid salary, but he does not strive to go pro.

The two semi finals are over, and we have our finalists SaSe and LiiLD.C. However, the sensation of the tournament is without a doubt the Undead player DowaQ from Excello. He says himself that he did not expect to survive through the group stage, but after taking out KnOfF and SaSe in the group of death, he advanced.

Team SWE overestimated?

When asked on why it went this well, he said he might have overestimated the national team members of Sweden.
- Either that or I underestimated myself, he says and smiles. He also says that he did not practice that much before the event, but mentions that a couple of days ago he played 20 games.

The first round in the group stage was SaSe versus FuRy and KnOfF versus DowaQ. After two pretty fast games, the sensation was a fact with DowaQ coming out on top of the Orc player.
- It all went well versus KnOfF, but I did not have too much control of the game but it went alright anyway. I had the feeling I could win, says DowaQ.His match versus FuRy ended in a close 1-2 loss, and after the game FuRy was quick in remarking how good he was with harassing. And in the game versus SaSe, where SaSe played Orc - DowaQ played good too - winning 2-1.

LiiLD.C won on his routine

Once in the semi final versus LiiLD.C, he suffered a tough loss of 0-2. DowaQ tells us that it was because of LiiLD.C having more routine.
- It was pretty close, I had the two games basically but I screwed up, he adds. But all in all, he is satisfied with his performance.

DowaQ is, as mentioned before, in Excello. He tells us that he is happy with the team, and that they have a super team spirit. Though should he be offered a pro contract he would say yes. But he is fast in mentioning that he doesn't put too much effort in gaming.
- I play about three hours a day, sometimes more, sometimes less.

Hjalmar the Great says that it would be an honor to play in the Swedish National team, and that SaSe, FuRy and the other guys actually talked to him a bit about the possibility.
- It would be fun as hell, he says and cracks up another smile.

Ending the interview, DowaQ says that he hopes that Lyn will win the World Cyber Games Finals. And in Sweden, he was originally hoping for GLaiVe and SjoW - and himself of course.
