Swedish WCG qualifiers: first round on Saturday

World Cyber Games is upon us all. GosuGamers, your main source for WarCraft, got the honorable quest on making the Swedish qualifiers a fair and great event.

Two online qualifiers with a tournament bracket, which is linked in the end of this article. The three top positioned players in the first tournament qualifies to an offline final, together with four from the second tournament, held in Stockholm, (Fryshuset), at the dates of 17-19th of August. This due to that

ElakeDuck, winner of last WCG Sweden, is directly invited to the offline finals.

The two online tournaments will be held this Saturday and next Sunday, first one at 4.00 PM CET and second one at 3.00 PM CET. All games, even the grand final, has to be played in order to make a fair seeding in the finals.

All games throughout the tournament will be played in a Best-of-3 format, except for the Grand final which will be played in Best-of-5. Players veto maps in this order:

Lower placed player exclude one map from the pool.
Higher placed player exclude one map from the pool.
Higher placed player picks map to begin with.
Loser picks next map.

In the loserbracket players veto maps the following way:

Higher placed player exclude one map from the pool.
Lower placed player exclude two maps from the pool.
Higher placed player exclude one map from the pool.
