PGL: WE.Infi surprises in Playday 4

Yesterday, we saw six players make their way to the next stage of the ProGamer League. Today, another six players did the same as the tournament advances to knock out mode.

The group stage of the PGL has now come to an end with an additional four players qualifying for the next round. Those who did not manage to take one of the top two spots in their group will be given a second chance in the double elimination stage.

In Group C it was no greater surprise to see the two superstars BeT.Sweet (picture) and 4K^Grubby grab the two top placings, the latter ending up in first place after beating the Undead player in the Winner Brackets Final. The two Chinese players TR_ACE and wNv.xiaOt will proceed to the Double Elimination stage.

The talented WE.08 player Infi had a great run in Group D, where he started off by beating the Undead player Colorful.Gstar and then surprising us greatly by closely defeating the Human master WE.Sky. In the Loser Brackets it came down to 4K^Creolophus versus WE.Sky, where the Chinaman ended up victorious and accompanies his countryman Infi to the Knock Out round.

What happens next?

The top two players from Group A and C will go directly to the fourth stage - the knockout round. The bottom two players from Group A and C, along with the top two players from D and B will move on to the third stage - a double elimination bracket. Sadly, the bottom two players from Group B and D are eliminated from the tournament.

This means that we will see SaSe, Moon, FoV, suhO, xiaOt, Ace, Infi and SKy play in the third stage, while ToD, TH000, Grubby and Sweet are waiting in the fourth stage.
