SK.Deadman: Ownitsch is a retard, HoT explains

The WC3L Offline Finals is currently live, and there are many interesting results to check out. However, something that might be more eye opening might be the drama between SK superstar Deadman and manager Ownitsch.

The problem was a cigarette and the outcome was no more clan play nor event sponsoring for Deadman.
- We were driving to the WC3L Finals, Ownitsch was driving, and I had to take a smoke - Deadman explains.
When Deadman declines the request of putting the cigarette away Ownitsch walks around the car and pulls Deadman out. At this point Deadman is kicking Ownitsch, which wasn't very appreciated by the manager. Later on in an interview with GIGA Deadman further explains that Ownitsch is a retard, and that he himself has to fly home with his own money. Second manager of SK tells this in an official press release:

Andrey Sobolev, aka SK.Deadman, won't represent SK Gaming's lineup at the upcoming WC3L Finals in Hamburg, neither will he be playing in any other team-competition for SK Gaming. The team has decided to bench him until the end of his contract duration, December 31st 2007, and not to send him to any other event.

Other than reported on several websites, he is not released from his contract and therefore not free to sign up with any other team or organization. The team feels this disciplinary measure is necessary after incidents involving Andrey and his teammates in the past. Further measures are being discussed internally and won't be discussed in the public eSports community.

For a starter, we've only been able to hear about Deadman's version of the story. As HoT, togheter with the rest of SK, is giving another view of the story, things might be alot clearer. SK not performing well

The event itself is still going on, though, and SK seem to need their Russian superstar more than ever. With two straight losses they are the first team to leave the finals. With a 1:3 result against World Elite and a 2:3 result again MYM, they are now excluded from the finals.
