TeK-9 Winner of the Original TGL League

The Gaming League, TGL, is a pretty newstarted league page with tons of more success than many other leagues. They are not having only one league running at the time, but pretty many leagues with many different kinds of format. The league everything began with, called TGL W3L, is now over and we have a winner.

TeK-9 stands as winners of the first season of TGL W3L with destorying Team Butterfly in the finals. On the way to the finals TeK-9 also won strong teams such as ToT. So on to the final clanwar, let's have a look how it ended:

Butterfly has gone downhill since they lost Maista, but they are still a strong team. This is a very important game for us because the winner gets headsets, and I would like a headset. I've never really got the point of mousepads really. They are all the same, and you don't even need them. I've always wanted a professional gamer headset. If we win, I think I'll go down to the supermarket wearing my headset just to show off. Everyone will be like, "Look at that guys headset, he must be a professional gaming manager for the team TeK-9 Networks Ltd." Maybe I'll get tek9 to send me one of their shirts too so I can wear that as well. That will really add to the image.

Congratulations to TeK-9 for winning the season 1 of TGL W3L! As the league is very new to the scene, as mentioned previously, GosuGamers forced a small talk with the headadmin of the league, TGL-NooDle, about a little this and a little that.

How did the league proceed? Any troubles on the way? Everything went smooth?
- Only bigger trouble was 2 teams went inactive, we replaced one and the other was to far in season. the rest of the season went smooth, some scheduling probs but i think in international league thats normal.

So for the eventually upcoming season, is there anything you will change. Not talking about rules, but maybe a way to organise it or anything?
- Well due to the merge with WPL the W3L will have no 2nd season, all W3L teams will join the WPL with its 2 group system. it will be 2x10 teams.

Ok. TGL is fairly new, and it has hit the scene much better than some other leagues. What do you think about that? Is there any actuall reason?
- Dedicated team is the only and most important reason, because we have with ciko an webmaster that only roxx ass, therapy is the big man in the backround so far, hes talking to all the partners. And well we where only few admins at the start of the season, only me and nauryz. later we added some more admins which really helped a lot when you have 6 cw at one day :P we also have no admins that are active members in any clan which helps us alot to be really neutral, what i think is not the thing in some other leagues.

The constant topic of prize money might be an issue of your league. Do you think that the prizes in your leagues are good enough? Do you think you got lucky getting sponsors so early in the leagues history?
- Well in the first season we had no prize money, but we where really happy to have so many great teams in season I, for the next season we will have 1000 EUR prize money which as i hope will attract many new teams and some big names :) our sponsor steelseries gives us really good support and ye i think it rly helped alot.

That's great. So as a last question we'd like to know if we will see any other games on the TGL homepage? How about the big topic of the day - StarCraft 2?
- We will 100% make SC2 league/cups. Whole TGL staff is, like so many other ppl out there, so excited about the new bliz game, that imo will be the next BIG rts title.
