The two top American top teams Pandemic and Check-Six have added new squads - World of WarCraft squads. After Blizzard launching the arena system, we see more and more teams expanding to WoW.

Pandemic, known for their Counter-Strike, DotA and Call of Duty 2 teams have just got in to the newest eSport sensation - World of WarCraft Arena. They pick up Power Trip, a set of players from the PvP guild Notorious.
- Team Pandemic is proud to be one of the first teams to take this risk and not only support a team, but also help grow the game competitively, says Dolven from Pandemic to GotFrag.

Dolven says that it is inevitable that it will take off as a viable platform for professional gaming, and that they want to be one of the founding forefathers of competitive World of WarCraft.

Noktyn, leader of Power Trip, now known as Pandemic's World of WarCraft squad says to GotFrag that he and his team never thought a day like this would come where they would get sponsored and play World of WarCraft in tournaments.
- It means a lot to us as a team and it's a big step in the right direction, he further adds.

Check-Six does the same - picks up ZERG IT DOWN

Not late to follow are Check-Six who picks up the ZERG IT DOWN team from the guild Insurrection, a guild known for both PvE and PvP. Check-Six will not only sponsor the five players in ZERG IT DOWN, but also the whole guild.

Brendan "Trance" Coyle, Priest in ZERG IT DOWN, is very positive.
- This is the beginning of making WoW-Arena a commercial eSport, it's opening the idea that WoW-Arena teams could possibly be more then social PvP groups and that competitive arena teams should be starting to be taken seriously by the PvP community, he tells GotFrag.

Check-Six is another multigaming organization mostly based on First Person Shooter games, but they have a DotA team as well and has had a WarCraft 3 roster in the past.

The future of the WoW Arena 5on5 system looks very interesting. With over 8 and a half million subscribers World of WarCraft has a very stable ground to build on. We follow this scene with interest.
