The last season, the WarCraft 3 Championsleague (WC3L) spent 20,000€ as prize money to the best teams, this season they once again increase the amount.
The eleventh season is already running it's second playday, but now the WC3L announced another increase of the prize sum for the top teams. Last season it has been overall 20,000€ given away as prize money, this time it's going to be 30,000€. With this prizemoney the WC3L can be sure to keep their status as the most important WarCraft 3 clanleague worldwide.
Some seasons ago, the WC3L finals did cost the teams more than they could win, and only honor and publicity were gained, but with the latest developement of the WC3L and their sponsoring, the finals become more and more lucratively for the teams.
For the WarCraft scene this is a good sign, the more money is spent into WarCraft 3, the bigger and better the sport can become. We want to wish the best of luck to all WC3L teams and the WC3L itself.
