GAMEX: Russians invite world's finest

GAMEX is the name of a Russian based offline event. So far they've released information about prizes, invited players and how you get a qualification spot.

With an interesting invitation list and a quite impressive prize pot this is one of the biggest offline tournaments in Warcraft-russia so far. In the top seeded invited players we can find famous names such as

Moon, which all are eager to fight for the prize pot consisting of around $56,646. The invited players are:

Futhermore there are 22 spots to be spread among whoever wants them. Since the tournament is mainly for the Russian scene, along with some other east European countries, most spots is for those countries, but there is nothing to worry about if you're living elsewhere, since four of the spots is international. More specific tournament dates is yet to be announced, but so far we have the information that Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan qualifiers will be played between January and February 2007, the qualifiers of Southern and Northern America, the countries of the Europe and Asia, Australia and Oceania will be played through January 2007. The Moscow qualifiers will be played at March 9th 2007.
