World Series of Video Games Finals**

This weekend the elite of WarCraft 3, CounterStrike and Quake 4 will meet in New York at the Chelsea Piers Sports & Entertainment Complex to face each other in the WSVG Finals. CS Teams like SK Gaming, WCG winner Pentagram are going to play, aswell as WarCraft 3 players like Grubby, FoV or Sweet.

The matches will start at Saturday, December 9th, and end on Monday, December 11th. Overall the World Series of Video Games (WSVG) will provide prizes of about $240,000. The winners of each discipline will recieve a computer and a Rolex aswell. In WarCraft 3 there will be overall $35,000 in cash aswell as computers and a Rolex for the first place finisher to win.

The players that qualified in the five qualifier tournaments are all very good and pretty known to most of the community. See big names like Sweet or Grubby fighting!

It seems as if Grubby and Sweet are the big favourites of the tournament, followed by FoV and Deadman, but since the other participants are very good also the matches may become very exciting.

Update: SK.Deadman won't attend at WSVG Finals

Short time ago SK Gaming released a statement of their manager TheSlasH, explaining why Deadman won't be able to fly to New York and play at the WSVG Finals. Again Deadman got problems getting a visa, very sad for him and the WSVG.
This is not the first event, where Deadman couldn't attend because of visa issues and maybe it won't be the last unfortunately.

Regarding to TheSlasH, Deadman has been to the American embassy in Moscor to get his visa for the WSVG Finals, but it was denied. He tried another time but he still wasn't allowed to go to New York during the time of the WSVG Finals.
In the end after a lot of discussions it looked like Deadman would get a visa and would be able to go to New York in time, but then the US embassy excused themselves with a computer crash, which caused Deadman not being able to get his visa and therefore not to go to New York.

TheSlasH is very sorry for Deadmans fans who again can't see him attending at a big tournament due to visa issues and for the WSVG who payed the flight for nothing. Especially because Deadman had to deny his participation in the IEST in China he is quite disappointed, TheSlasH states.

wNv.FoV did also not come to New York

It seems as if wNv.FoV wasn't able to make it to New York aswell, leaving the WarCraft 3 tornament with 6 players instead of eight.
