The nineth ESL Pro Series Finals currently take place in Cologne. In WarCraft 3 there are Miou, Fire_de, Spell and hanF qualified. Day one has already passed and the first round has been played. Today the second day will start, with the Lower- and Winnerbracket being played.
The first round matches were Miou against hanF and Spell versus Fire_de. As usual three humans are competing at the finals, it has been like this since several finals and it's still going on. The only non-human player is nightelf hanF.
Miou, who won the last five (of yet eight) finals, again is the favourite on the champion's title, and whoever watched his games against hanF yesterday might be sure he will be able to do it again. He did very well against the elf player and beat him at two maps with a clear 2-0.
The second match of yesterday between Fire and Spell was won by Fire in a three game series with 2-1. Both players played quite well.
This means, the winnerbracket final will be played between the two SK-Gaming members Fire and Miou, while Spell and hanF will meet each other in the lowerbracket final.
These two matches are going to be played today, and while Miou and Fire got good chances on reaching the Overall Final, Spell and hanF have to give everything for staying in the tournament - the loser will end up fourth in season nine.
You can follow the matches at GIGA 2 (pay TV) from 15 CET to 0.30 CET. There will be shown WarCraft 3, CounterStrike, FIFA and some more.
