2 superstars of the game, probably the most celebrated and for right reasons too, battle it out in an epic encounter.
In an epic counter, and considered probably the greatest showdown in Warcraft 3 history not only because of the magnitude of the price involved but also because of of the 2 players participating.
Grubby, an Orc player has had almost every title around the world under his belt and for a long time the only nemesis he couldn't take down was Moon. That changed in the most recent WEG where the superstar took out the indominatable Moon in an epic 3:1 encounter almost sealing the title for greatest player in the world. This was a feat that he had previously been unable to do.
Moon is no stranger to the game and is widely regarded as one of the most innovative gamers in the history of the game. The loss to Grubby was the first ever televised loss in over 27 matches that Moon had lost to an Orc player. In this matchup it is regarded that Elf is a little stronger and thus has an advantage. But Moon, widely regarded as the 5th race for his mind blowing micro-management and strategy has been looked upon by many as the greatest Night Elf player. The scores will be updated on the three maps that they will play on.

While they stand pretty much even skill wise, Moon has had a slump for quite sometime with some underperformances. Grubby, on the other hand, has been sharp but hasn't quite faced an elf of Moon's cadre. So this will be a very exciting encounter indeed. A live stream is up for people to view it and would require the installation of their "Gom" player.
The showdown starts at 10:00 CET today. Be tuned for all our updates.
*Update*
In a thrilling encounter, Moon managed to take down the Orc champion in a flawless 2:0 victory. The first game being played on Twisted meadows resulted in Moon taking a very risky fast tech with just one huntress opening to reach a quick tier 3 and mass bears. Grubby had fought valiant battles but had to give up when he lost his hero in a battle in his base.
Game 2 was another display of fine micro from both players, but a mix of Moon's famous Talon strat coupled with Grubby's Tauren Chieftain ( a must have hero) not being able to provide the attack led to his downfall. Moon took game 2 and sealed the tournament and collects a handsome $ 10K prize.
