Zeus enjoyed his time at WCG

The Croatian 4Kings player Zeus managed to become runner-up at ESWC 2006, beating Grubby on his way to final - one of the biggest successes in his career. During WCG Finals in Italy he was not able to advance from the groupstage due to his losses to Sky and Rob. While the semi-finals game was played WCG-Europe sat down with Zeus and asked him several questions concerning the event in Italy and the leaving of FoV. The interview is originally in German, you will find a translation to English below.

Q: Hello Zeus, do you enjoy WCG 2006?
A: Hi. I enjoy being here, having the possibility to meet and compete with team mates and other friends.

Q: Your activities in your free time?

A: The roundabouts are entertaining. Unfortunately the hotel room is a little away. I did not have many activities yet, but let's see what happens tonight.

Q: Your teammate Grubby just lost to Sky. Are you surprised?

A: I was rooting for Grubby, the chances for a victory were even, but Sky is very strong against Orc and is always doing his best.

Q: ToD is in the semi finals now. Is he able to win the tournament?

A: When he is able to beat Sky like he did on WEG, he has decent chances to win the tournament. HoT is playing very strong as well. A victory of either HoT or ToD is fine for me.

Q: Why are you rooting for HoT?

A: He is a good friend of mine and he practiced very hard for this. He never accomplished anything important, this might be his chance.

Q: Why weren't you able to advance from groupstage?

A: I got unlucky with both Sky and Rob in my group. Next to that my personal computer crashed the week before WCG and I wasn't able to practice. I couldn't prepare for the game against Sky either. I played good against Rob, but failed to take advantages from my play.

Q: I've heard you are doing bets on other players, how much did you lose?

A: (laughing) I just lost around 90€ after betting on Grubby.

Q: The finals of WC3L are coming soon. 4K is once again ranked first, are you able to take your title?

A: We are doing our best to win the title. I will get a new computer next week and start praciticing a lot again. I want to be prepared as best as possible for the finals and tournaments such as WEG.

Q: What do you about the new players of mousesports? (Sai and Fly)

A: I am unsure if is has been necessary to recruit the players, but they will surely strengthen them.

Q: FoV decided to leave 4K. Were there any internal conflicts?

A: His current age is 23 and he has to go to army in a year. He did not achieve of what would have been possible. His aim is to make the next year the most successfull one. We tried to support him as best as possible, but wNv can give more support due to their guys in China. If he wouldn't be forced to join army in a year, he would have stayed at 4K. We are like a family and never had any conflicts within 4K.

Q: Was is neccessary for him to leave 4K? ToD is probably moving to China as well, but he will remain a member of 4K.

A: I am not sure if it was neccessary, but it is probably the best for him - and that matters.

Q: Will there be a new player replacing him?

A: It is impossible to find an appropriate replacement and we are not going to replace him. The current line-up is fine and once we decided to recruit a new player it can take up to one year before we really know that he suits to 4K.

Q: Thank you for the interview.
